The second edition of the national festival of theater in its Euro-Moroccan version was organized in Al Hoceima from 15 to 19 December, 2010. Theater troops from different European countries made of this year’s edition a successful one.
Laaziz Ibrahimi, the director of the festival indicated in his presentation speech that this year’s edition of the national festival of theater in its Euro-Moroccan version has chosen the slogan “Cultural governance is a need for social development” for the fact that culture is an important component in social development, which enables the individuals of the society to communicate, invent, and also be aware of the common destiny.
The troops that participated in this year’s edition are from three main countries, which are Morocco, Spain, and France.

Rif troop for the Amazigh theater from Al Hoceima (Morocco) has participated with its brand new play “Akar n Izabil”. The play is a story of three Moroccan immigrants from the same social backgrounds and different mentalities working for Izabil, a Spanish woman. The writer of the play illustrates the confrontation of these immigrants in many different levels with the different culture of he north. In an artistic way the play points out some moments of harmony, misunderstanding, trust and so on …
