Just like the previous days of the Mediterranean Festival of Al Hoceima, the seventh day was also a remarkable success. Mohamed VI hall was fully crammed with hundreds of people who jammed the whole park. And as it was expected, the performance on the stage gave a special flavour to this Sunday evening. People seemed to admire the music played by the two singers and groups from the very beginning. They just felt unable to leave the hall.
The public in Mohamed VI hall met an artistic figure that they had not seen for almost five years. This was the artist and singer Hamat. Hamat was born in 1962 in the city of Al Hoceima. He is one of Rifian contemporary artists who have contributed to the modernization of Rifian music. He began his artistic carrier at the end of the 80s with a group of friends. The style that Hamat seems to prefer is Pop-Romantic. Until 2005, Hamat released his first album, Thudath, in which he repeated some of his old songs. His performance on the seventh day of the festival was an opportunity for him to revive his music style as he made of this an occasion to get acquainted to his public again.
Next after Hamat came the role of the French music group MAP to rock the hall with their great beats. They just shook the public with their nice performance. MAP is a rap group coming from France. They advocate openness and miscegenation through their music which is a mixing between hip-hop and universal music. Their vigorous performance attracted most of the public who found it irresistible to respond back to their music. MAP made of the evening a nice moment that the public will not forget soon.
